Czech Republic

Hi everyone

Today I will talk about this amazing country located in middle Europe. Czech Republic has a lot of history and wonderful places to visit. The capital, and also the biggest city is Prague (or Praha in it's native languaje). The old town or Staré Město is placed in the south board of the Moldava River with a lot of stones brigdes forn ancients years. Maybe the most spectacular atraccion is the  Staroměstský orloj, or the "astronomical clock" ln the main square of the old town. It was built in the XV century and located in one of the walls of the local goberment bulding.

You can see this amazing clock Here.

But Czech Republic is not only Prague. You can also visit some cities like Brno, Karlovy Vary or

Liberec. This last one is  located near to the border line with Poland and Germany  and have  a very well preserved old bohemian town, built when the Austria-Hungary Empire was the owner of all this places. In the mountains near Liberec you can find the TV-Tower of Jested, a symbol of the communist past in "Československo" and where you can enjoy the view of Schlesien (South of Poland) and the Oberlaustiz in Sachsen, Germany.

This train connect Germany and Czech Republic every two hours.
How can you go to this places?. Well, the easier way is by train from Germany or Austria. For example, every two hours you can take an Intecity-train from  Dresden Hbf (Dresden-Main Station in German) to Praha hlavní nádraží in a almost two hours trip. If you are in Berlin the travel takes three hours. Even you can go for one day if you love travelling by train. Another option is from Vienna: a train trip takes almost four hours in  "Railjet" a very luxury and confortable service operated by the Austrian Federal Railways. If you're not convinced, always you can find a bus jajaja.

Important facts! This country is part of the European Union, so you don't have to make border control, but always there's a chance to be asked to show your passpport on the train once you have crossed the border line. They don't use Euro, so you have to change money to Czech crowns. 1 Euro is close to 26 crowns. With 200 crowns you can have a lunch.

You can see, I have almost all that I need t know to go, and that's why I want to go there. One of my dreams is make the trip between Dresden and Prague following the rivers Elba and Moldova. I love countries with a lot of history and  old places to see and enjoy If you have the chance to visit this country tell me about your experience!

Best Regards

C.

Talking about my Blogging Experience

Hello everyone! Today I have the opportunity of talk about the experience of writing blogs and how does it work on the learning process.  I have to say I’m not good writing personal things, not even in Spanish, because I use to be very worried about my private life. Anyway, I can (and I did) the sacrifice of trying to express the things I’ve been asked to write, as my hobby or appreciation of some specifics topics. At the time writing I started to notice some points: first: I have to admit that I know vocabulary in English but I didn’t know how to write correctly some words (thanks for the translator system that helps me to correct those words). Second. It’s not so simple to express what I’m thinking, so, be “ forced” to write help me to improve my abilities thinking and expressing in English. Third, I have to be open to make and correct mistakes and find new ways to write what I want to write. I believe should be very interesting to keep improving the experience to m...

Working in the House of Cards

When someone says you have a free topic to talk about in a blog post, It's so hard to me to define what  I could choose to talk about. While I'm writing this  I started to thought on the people I’ll be working with in the future When we read the news, the idea of a future seems to be, for one side, very espectacular with a lot of new technologies and the opportunity of enjoy the development of mankind, but thirty seconds later I realized this world is going into a black hole without solution thanks to the ambition of power. Let’s think about what the news show us every day: a political section with a lot of people with almost no sense discussions while the real problems of the people are covered with fake smiling y and “we will do it” proposes. At the same time some governments threat others with nuclear bombs and putting the world in the line of the death and total destruction.  This idea is very depressing, and the solution seems to be not the read news, but tha...

We’re thirsty

Hello Today I want to talk about a special topic related to my career of Public Administration. I’ll talk about the problem of drought and water laws in the country. Is been asked to explain some changes that must be necessary to apply and find a solution of the problem of water. Let’s start by the history. Water as a fluid has been always considered as a resource, which could be exploited as the same way as cooper or steal. That means, a private could ask for the government to buy the right of use a certain amount of water and be able to take from rivers o water wells. In that way, the laws and regulations are only made to regulate how a person or an industry can use the water. By other side, in the cities there are only laws according the use of drinking water and what to do with the dirty water (specially trying to “clean” and return the water into the river to be used in the fields). So, what to do if we have problems with the water? Today the government only coul...
