Improving the learning experience

Today I want to talk about how has been my experience learning English and give my opinion about the English class in my University.
I must say it’s not the first time I’ve been in this kind of classes. The first time I went into a class I was 14 in an Institute. It was awful.  The teacher in that time sent us to speak at the first class and I had no idea of nothing. For a new student be sent to that kind of exercise is just cruel. Short story, I never went back.
Then I started to learn by myself watching TV-series and practice with karaoke. Also reading books and magazines to improve my grammar. It was ok, and then went I first came into the university I made some test and my English was quite acceptable, also went to classes.
Here, I can made some critics to the way the people learn English. By one side some classes are just “verb to be” again and again and again. By other side, some teachers try to make the students talk with no prepare and convenient ambient for the student. Or even worst, some systems just leave the learning-process to a software with pre-made answers and the difficult is just push a button.
In the context of this class in my university, I must say it’s been grateful to find that exist the idea of make the students think and practice the language not only repeating word and making listening. The idea of write a blog forces to try to think in English. And, as I see, that’s the most important fact.  I can see we, as society, still not believing that when we must learn a new language, is not only learn grammar and vocabulary; we must think in the new language, and that’s the code: I we teach the students that thinking in English is different to make it in Spanish, that some ideas could be expressed by different ways and the speaking-process is not join words, we are in a good way.
I must say, the last thing for today, I don’t like to make videos. I have problems staying in front a camera, I don’t even like to be photographed in normal situations. The fact is not make it for the class, it’s a kind of life trauma, it’s not nervous, it’s just rejecting the idea and I can’t think clearly.

    First I thank u.. I was waiting for some post will be published to comment hahahaha, so I'm glad you posted.
    With respect to your post specifically your critic I think the same, because the vast majority of schools, at least the ones that I know tend to review and revise the verb "to be", making students believe that with that is enough and they get bored of learning more. Such as you said, the system make a question and answer predeterminate and then, when we go to other places and realize that it not just "to be" or "fine"(typical answer of school), we frustrate and do not want keep to learning.
    For that reason I am very grateful with system actual in the university, because serves to practice in direct manner both oral and write english.
    I don't like the videos too :( , I hate the cameras... well I think that they hate me hhah, I don't know but for some reason I'm always look awful in the camera :/

    Hello Cristobal, I consider these english class in the university need to change about only repeat words and not learn anything in the class. It's necessary improve this way to teach english. I agree your opinion.

    hello cristobal! how are you? What a terrible experience you had in the past in that English class. Wow! I really admire you, I didn´t know that I had learned it on your own. I congratulate you! Regarding your experience with English classes, we have a similar vision about the performance of the program and the English classes. I hope that with time continue to improve the classes at the university.

Today I have the opportunity of talk about the experience of writing blogs and how does it work on the learning process.  I have to say I’m not good writing personal things, not even in Spanish, because I use to be very worried about my private life. Working in the House of Cards

When someone says you have a free topic to talk about in a blog post, It's so hard to me to define what  I could choose to talk about. We’re thirsty

Hello Today I want to talk about a special topic related to my career of Public Administration. I’ll talk about the problem of drought and water laws in the country. Is been asked to explain some changes that must be necessary to apply and find a solution of the problem of water. Let’s start by the history. Water as a fluid has been always considered as a resource, which could be exploited as the same way as cooper or steal. That means, a private could ask for the government to buy the right of use a certain amount of water and be able to take from rivers o water wells. In that way, the laws and regulations are only made to regulate how a person or an industry can use the water.
