Working in the House of Cards

When someone says you have a free topic to talk about in a blog post, It's so hard to me to define what  I could choose to talk about. While I'm writing this  I started to thought on the people I’ll be working with in the future When we read the news, the idea of a future seems to be, for one side, very espectacular with a lot of new technologies and the opportunity of enjoy the development of mankind, but thirty seconds later I realized this world is going into a black hole without solution thanks to the ambition of power. Let’s think about what the news show us every day: a political section with a lot of people with almost no sense discussions while the real problems of the people are covered with fake smiling y and “we will do it” proposes. At the same time some governments threat others with nuclear bombs and putting the world in the line of the death and total destruction.  This idea is very depressing, and the solution seems to be not the read news, but tha...

Post-graduates studies

Hi everyone!  Today I must talk about Post-graduates studies.   At today, I think that I only want to finish the current career before to even think about taking another studies. The reason is only money, I have to pay the university credit and I need job soon to pay it. Anyway, I always could dream on taking post –graduates studies. I’m very interested about public transportation and I’ve always wanted to find the chances to study something about this subject. In that way, I found some time ago information about a post-graduate course of means of transportation, cities and technologies in the Institute for technologies of Karlsruhe, in Germany. In this course, the idea is learn about how the transportation works with theoretical models and simulations. Also they study how to manage the politics, policies and economics to design new ways of public transport, using as examples the systems of transportation in the main European cities, identifying problems...

My dream job

Hello If someone asks me which could be my dreamed job I would say I would love to be a railwayman. It’s maybe one of the most wonderful jobs ever. Think About that. You’re travelling across the country with a 2500 tons train on yours hands controlling the speed and the brakes in the locomotive, joining the cities along the railway, visiting always new places and seeing the world from a different view. If you have travelled on trains maybe you noticed that seeing the landscape from the windows is something special. Passing throw different places and maybe keeping an eye in a house, a sign, or even another person who was there just for a second while the train keep running to bringing all the passengers into their destinations. The job of the railwayman is keep sure that the train is running safe and on time, and you can be on the locomotive, in the passenger car asking for the tickets, or in a signal box working with traffic lights and switches or even as a stationmaster in...

My hobby

Hi there! Today I will talk about my hobby. Since I was a child I love to collect Germans model trains. Why trains? Because I love trains! And why Germans?  Because my parents gave me a German scale train at my 9 th birthday and became crazy with the details and colours. As I said, I got my first train at the age of nine, and then started collecting more and more trains. I enjoyed going to the model train shop in the city-centre and buy a wagon, houses, little people, and everything to build a model train layout. The train was not a simple toy, it becomes to be a new world to discover and enjoy. The collection started to be bigger and bigger. At today, 14 years later, I have 32 locomotives and almost 150 passenger and freight cars in a 1:87 scale, also called H0. Also, I built a layout in a room of my house where to make my trains run. I still building a big train station whit 5 platforms and an Engine Shed, trying to represent a train station in a big town. Then the tr...

Best concert ever: David Gilmour

Hello Let’s talk today about concerts. First, I must tell that I love music, especially progressive rock, pop, or even classical music. I love to hear music in English, German and, of course, in Spanish.  In that way, my favourite band is Pink Floyd, a British band of progressive rocks with a lot of masterpieces in the history of music. Unfortunately, they are no longer together since 1994, but two of them, Roger Waters and David Gilmour, still singing and releasing solo-projects. Is in that context that in December 2015, David Gilmour came to Chile in the “Rattle that lock” tour. It was his first time in the country and maybe it could be the only one. So, I had to have the chance to enjoy an evening listening one of the monsters of music on live. The date was on December 20, 2015, the place: Estadio Nacional. The sale tickets began in September, and in only few days went sold out. That was frustrating for me because I couldn’t get the money to get the ticket and I thought I ...
