Talking about my Blogging Experience

Hello everyone! Today I have the opportunity of talk about the experience of writing blogs and how does it work on the learning process.  I have to say I’m not good writing personal things, not even in Spanish, because I use to be very worried about my private life. Anyway, I can (and I did) the sacrifice of trying to express the things I’ve been asked to write, as my hobby or appreciation of some specifics topics. At the time writing I started to notice some points: first: I have to admit that I know vocabulary in English but I didn’t know how to write correctly some words (thanks for the translator system that helps me to correct those words). Second. It’s not so simple to express what I’m thinking, so, be “ forced” to write help me to improve my abilities thinking and expressing in English. Third, I have to be open to make and correct mistakes and find new ways to write what I want to write. I believe should be very interesting to keep improving the experience to m...

English language challenges

I understand  Hello everyone! The idea of English-learning process as a policy in our country still, at least for me, a dream. We, as Chileans, still having the idea that learning a second language is just a four or five words and it's only matter for make ours CVs bigger. But, in the last years I have observed an interesting way. And that's maybe the final point of a learning process: a way of joining cultures.  I believe, if we, as a country,  want to incorporate the English in our lives, the tourism market could make a basic stone in a future two languages culture, not only with English, we also should incorporate the native languages as a cultural value. Another aspect, and that...

Improving the learning experience

Today I want to talk about how has been my experience learning English and give my opinion about the English class in my University. I must say it’s not the first time I’ve been in this kind of classes. The first time I went into a class I was 14 in an Institute. It was awful.  The teacher in that time sent us to speak at the first class and I had no idea of nothing. For a new student be sent to that kind of exercise is just cruel. Short story, I never went back. Then I started to learn by myself watching TV-series and practice with karaoke. Also reading books and magazines to improve my grammar. It was ok, and then went I first came into the university I made some test and my English was quite acceptable, also went to classes. Here, I can made some critics to the way the people learn English. By one side some classes are just “verb to be” again and again and again. By other side, some teachers try to make the students talk with no prepare and convenient ambient fo...
